The Last Name Monkey are all pointing to one man?
i think the last name Monkey is as old as the D, infact this last name created the most powerful beings in onepiece including Garp, Dragon and specially Luffy…
ill try to explain things as simple as it gets… the will of D is actually from the real name of Sun God Nika, that according to who’s who that’s gonna save them one day. Sun God Nika was probaly only what people during the void century called him, but his actual full name is Monkey Douc.

Infact theres a chance that luffy’s devil fruit isnt just a normal devil fruit but it is a mythical devil fruit that even back during the void century people already bilieved thats why the gorosei forbids slaves from telling the story of the son god nika of fear that his powers would become a devil fruit.
so lets go back to the last name “Monkey” which was held by Dragon, Luffy and Garp… i think this last name is not just ordinary one, simply because Dragon, Garp and Luffy was decendant of the Sun God Nika by himself, their blood came from the blood of a warrior. Simply as that.
and Douc was actually an Old World monkey, Pygathrix nemaeus, of SE Asia, with a bright yellow face surrounded by tufts of reddish-brown fur, a white tail, and white hindquarters: one of the langurs
