The true darkness of the Holy Knights, Gorosei and Imu has been depicted multiple times by oda.
These demonic portals they come from and the symbols on these are extremely similar to the demonic ritual symbols of the people on the island Brook landed on, NAMAKURA ISLAND in his timeskip.
They thought brook was the devil that they had summoned. And the Holy Knights and Gorosei have these powers given to them by Imu. They all have a tattoo which is the mark of their powers and allows them to access this Abyss.
Imu has given the gorosei immortality. They seemingly have infinite regeneration because of Imus powers. But there is a clearly a darker element to these powers that has not been explained yet.
Imu casually killed Saturn with some dark magic shit instantly from across the globe.
They have literally souled their souls to the Devil.
And promote the idea of being servants of God but in reality serve and have given their lives to the devil and the mark is proof of this.
Gunko is a huge Brook fan. She loves his music and one of his songs is her favourite. This is oda setting up gunko to have a soft spot for Brook.
And his advice and words will hold alot of weight for her.
Combine this with the knowledge Brook acquired from his location where he was sent after saobody. His understanding of Souls with his fruit as the Soul King
