• A bad-ass alter ego of an otherwise cowardly character who desires to be a brave man of the sea.
• Was integral to Enies Lobby Arc (and it required his skills).
• Kicked ass before and after he became Sogeking during the preskip.

I wish One Piece explored Usopp having a split personality more. If he got his own fight in Enies Lobby it would be Sogeking showing off with super flashy attacks with awesome names, and Zoro's fight would have been better to.

I mean a "real" fight. Zoro's suffered from it needing to add levity to his fight with the Handcuff plot, and the wacky antics that Usopp brought. If Sogeking got his own one on one fight with a weaker member of the Cp9 (someone on Nero's level) then his fight could've been the Comedic fight and Zoro and Kaku could've been more serious. Sogeking's fighting style would be super flashy with finishing moves and over the top antics. You could even have inner dialog of Usopp and Sogeking fighting.

Couldn't agree more. Dressrosa was the worst arc for Ussop.
Sogeking was freakin awesome.

Shooting WG flag was his best moment for me. One of the best scene in the manga.

Sogeking rivals the Sora that beat Germa and Ryuma that slayed a Dragon. But most importantly Sogeking Rivals Sun God Nika... That is why Ussop is slowly becoming a god too.

Despite being the OP, postskip Usopp did have good moments before Dressrosa (beating Daruma and Buffalo, capturing Caesar).

A wounded Nero fighting a wounded Usopp to prevent him from getting on top of the Tower of Justice would have been so good, I wonder if Oda originally wanted Usopp to fight Nero?
