1. Prepare a survival kit: You will need a survival kit containing essential items such as food, water, first aid supplies, weapons, tools, and a communication device. Keep this kit ready and easily accessible.
  2. Stay informed: Keep yourself informed about the situation by listening to the news, monitoring social media, and staying in contact with other survivors. This will help you to make informed decisions about where to go, when to move, and how to stay safe.
  3. Find a safe place to stay: Locate a secure place to stay that is easily defensible and has access to food, water, and medical supplies. A location with a natural barrier such as a river or mountain range would be ideal.
  4. Stay fit and healthy: Your survival will depend on your physical strength and endurance. Exercise regularly, eat healthy, and get enough rest to maintain your strength and endurance.
  5. Be ready to defend yourself: You will need to be able to defend yourself against zombie attacks and other threats. Learn basic self-defense skills and become proficient with weapons such as guns, knives, and blunt objects.
  6. Build a community: You are stronger when you work together. Build a community of survivors with complementary skills and resources. You can share resources, knowledge, and skills to increase your chances of survival.
  7. Stay alert: Be aware of your surroundings and stay alert for any signs of danger. Always keep an eye out for potential threats and be ready to act quickly if necessary.

Sounds solid on paper but your biggest enemy will be your comrades. I don't think that a community consisting off a dozen of people has a shot for the long run especially in the beginning stages.
