Momo literally told her to back off because she was supposed to join Luffy. Even Kinemon was like "I'm confused".

Oda is trying to build a Straw Hat crew out of all of the different races. The Minks are a huge part of the Straw Hats now, so, they'll definitely get a member, and Carrot is the girl who's sailed with them to fight two different Yonkou.

I have some hope left, but it's not a lock. Saying that is just setting yourself up for a big fat dinner of crow. This is Oda we're talking about. He already sidelined Carrot for 4 years.
