I can now safely say in hindsight that @dizzy2341 ‘s original “House of Ls” thread on OJ was the worst thing to happen to the One Piece community and arguably the human race as a whole.
Sure it’s all fun and games now when people simply replace one letter in a character’s name like “Lakainu, Laido,” etc..but where, I ask you, does it stop? People don’t even post coherent thoughts anymore lol, now responding to somebody’s post with “my Wharacter is better than your Lharacter” is the average WorstGen post. There are no ideas or thoughts being communicated here, and this “L” trend has been so thoroughly beaten into the ground that it has emerged up through the other side of the planet. But this, unfortunately, is not the end of the regression.
Amen I say to you, the times of actual human communication on this forum are approaching an end. It stopped being funny about 5 seconds after it became a trend, and now the letter L is posted simply when butthurt agenda posters have nothing else to say. But soon, it will regress even beyond this as one L simply is not enough to communicate the severity of your butthurt. Eventually entire character names will be replaced by Ls, such as “LLLLL, LLLL LL LLL LLLLLL” (Kaido, King of the Beasts). The Chimps will look at us with genuine concern in their eyes before flinging their feces in disapproval.
Eventually, ideas will cease to be communicated entirely as the English language is repeatedly and progressively mutilated by composing entire threads with a maelstrom of raging Ls without any context or actual messaging.
Then, all form of communication on this forum will be completely replaced by the letter “L” just spammed on repeat. Entire discussions will be replaced simply with Ls. Communication will devolve into “LLL LL LLLLLL LLLL LLL LLLLL”, and the sad part is that we will all be able to flawlessly interpret this inane babble and know exactly what messages people are trying to communicate. @Bogard will change the site address to “http://LLLLLLLLLLLLL.LLL”
Soon the globe itself will transition into an L shape and spiral into the Sun, exterminating all of humanity in one fell swoop. The year is 20LL and this shit is so old.
