Speculations Theory: Nusjuro is from Wano

So Nusjuro, unlike the other CDs, has a distinctly Japanese name and manner of dress, which to me indicates that he might be from a different culture than the others.

Now that we know it's possible for someone to become a Celestial Dragon as long as they have the approval of the Five Elders, I think Nusjuro might have been like York where he was born as a commoner, but he ended up being useful enough to the WG and enough of a scumbag that they allowed him to become a Celestial Dragon. And then from there, likely due to a random twist of luck, he got appointed as a Gorosei

I beg to differ, my theory is that Nasujuro’s family, the Ethan Baron(his name is Ethan Baron V. Nasujuro) were the actual monarchs(shogunate) of Wano during the void century and they were replaced by the Kozuki similar to how the Riku family replaced the Donquixote.

I believe that Wano under the rule of the Ethan Baron were among the 20 kingdom alliance that fought Joy Boy in the war, the Kozuki were a family of stone masons and swordsmiths who worked with Joy Boy in secret during that period against the wishes of their Monarch.

After the Ethan Baron went to Mariejoa, the Kozuki took over and closed the border. V. Nasujuro is a descendant of the shogun of 800 years ago.

Even if they do promote commoners into being Celestial Dragons, I don't think they'd promote one to being Gorosei
