He's just too perfect being a character. Multiple tragic backstories to back up his progress further, top notch cook (THE best fkin cook, literally), dashing, got style, killer fashion, able to hold his ground against far stronger enemies (Kizaru, V. Nusjuro), AdvCOO most mofo would never acknowledge, and most importantly, he showers everyday.

The slanders and disrespect both directed by Toei and haters alike are cover to shroud his perfections. Even Oda himself to some scales, had to nerf Sanji's perfections to balance the rest of the crew.

"Throughout Heaven and Earth, I Alone Am the Perfect One" - Sanji, probably.

Whether or not what someone says about Sanji is slander or an accurate assessment of his characters is debatable.
For me, the backstories ruind him. No one can convince me that it is enjoyable to read about a why little bitch kid that gets trampled over.
Oda really tried way too hard to make his life miserable as a kid to garner sympathy and in the end all it did was make him look weak and pathetic. Humiliation is humanities universal langague that someone lost and Oda humiliated Sanji on multiple occasions. Its rather sad.
