No rocks didn’t die due to Roger and Garp teaming up he died willingly and with a smile and he also made Roger the legend he’s known as now.We all know Roger wasn’t a very ambitious man in his younger days
He was just a strong pirate with no real goal or discovering of his ancient D status.Just like how whitebeard was fated to lose and be betrayed when rescuing his son rocks lost while successfully saving his wife and son (possibly his real treasure of hachinousu) while about to sacrifice himself he told Roger about the one peice and the d clan and just like Roger he let the world government think they killed him but his wills and ideals still are alive with his son.Honestly I don’t buy the “I’m too early” bs from Roger because rocks was actually trying to topple the world government along with using the one peice if Harald had joined he might’ve been successful.
