This happens all the time and not just to Sanji. Viper attached them on the ship, kicked the shit out of the monster trio. Later on Luffy fights him on equal ground and the rest would have done as well. The CP9 made all of them look foolish on water7 and 12 hours later on Ennis lobby they got their asses handed to them.
Sanji is used as a hype tool for strong adversaries because he is strong. If Saturn did that to some like Usopp, nami or brook no one would go damn he is crazy. But with Sanji who had a 1b+ bounty it’s impress if AF.
