Maybe I'm talking out of my ass cause I havent read it in a long time, but I think it had a chill vibe, you know? Hard to describe, the islands felt more cozy, the sea seemed to be more important and more part of the whole asthetic, the islands even looked like Port Towns. In a certain sense it was more down to earth, made the devil fruits stand out without devolving into powerlevel wank.
