My theory on what Maschenny wants of Jinsung:
Maschenny is going to ask Jinsung to make a call to Mommy or Granny for her.
She said she kidnapped Jinsung because he was like a breakwater to Baam and a very important member of the Ha Family:
She's already exploited Jinsung's connections to Baam, now it's time to exploit his connections to the Ha Family. They too must pay a ransom if they want him to be returned unharmed.

She is preparing for a war, and why Hwaryun has not objected that she thinks it is the possible route and Jinsung's sacrifice is necessary (he was dead anyway if not for Mascheny's scheme).

I think they are testing Baam's potential, they want to use Jinsung to trigger Baam's growth. Probably they think Baam, being an irregular, can defeat Zahard, so some families may support Baam, but for their own purposes. So, at this moment, Baam cant do anything by himself, he needs to rely on others even if he knows they are not really friends. It is just give and take. But, Baam has to grow and make decisions. When he can do that? When he gets strong enough to challenge cream of the crop.
I don't think so. Maschenny has emphasised Jinsung's connections as the reason she kidnapped him, not his combat ability. She's not going to ask him to fight against someone.
