Theory Tsuru’s DF is very broken

As stated by Usopp, Tsuru is a legendary figure. She is consistently portrayed alongside Garp, Sengoku, and Kong as the leaders of the old gen marines.

As such, I think it’s very likely her wash wash fruit is much more powerful than it appears.

I think it’s very likely this DF is comparable to Bonney’s age fruit or Kuma’s paw fruit in that Oda will take the concept of washing and push it to it’s limits.

We know Tsuru can wash people and objects, making them malleable like laundry. There are many ways Oda could take this power, but I see two big ones.

1. Tsuru can probably create/manipulate water in some capacity, as water is used to wash things

DFs can utilize water. BM has a cloud homie and could create tsunamis. As could WB. Smoothie also uses water slashes. Tsuru having limited water abilities would make her strong enough to fit her station while also not necessarily being completely broken.

1. Turning things into laundry

Can be used for environmental manipulation in a manner not too different from G5 Luffy’s rubberfication

1. Washing concepts such as Pain, memories, age, etc.

Would be a good way to make Tsuru plot relevant

Ultimately, she’s called a legend for a reason. While she isn’t a confirmed CoC user like Garp or Sengoku, her at least having a busted DF is very likely.

unless you think Leo will become much stronger than Doffy, don’t see how this could happen

I think she's powerful in the sense of a classical general. Sure she has some combat potential but for sure she's not a top tier. Her strength is probably in strategy and tactics as her name implies. We don't get much of those plays in one piece but for a huge organisation like marines and the way the world is structured into islands a great strategist would be very important.
