- The episode will open with a flashback of young Yhwach crying as he watches his father's sacrifice to become the Soul King. The image of young Yhwach from the episode 27 poem is from this scene. The flashback is 55 seconds long.
- The technique the Soul King used to separate life and death and the three worlds is named "Triplet World." This name is shown in images; we do not hear the Soul King speak.
- The name of "that person" (the Soul King?) was casually revealed.
- New Renji and Rukia interaction.
- The Ichigo vs. Yhwach fight is the main focus of the episode. The fight has almost 8 minutes of brand new content that was not in the manga.
