Unpopular opinion but Buu saga was better than the Cell Saga

to me they were about the same but DBZ should have ended after namek.

buu saga is the genesis of modern dragon ball, dragon ball super, super dragonball heroes, the goku-obsession, and all the other db cash grabs and numerous random transformations that go on nowadays so of course it has had better reception in recent years

i give no crap about it, cell saga is better in every way, not because it's perfect, but because it's actually still trying to tell an interesting story, albeit a rough one. it still has elements of adventure, and mystery, character development, ties in old moments from previous arcs, and the powerscale hasn't ballooned so much it's impossible to grasp in a meaningful way.
