Speculations Usopp has powerful haki he is unable to control

This was most evident with Dressrosa, where Usopp sensed Sugar from miles away. I don’t recall, for example, Zoro ever showing such strength in CoO despite being trained in it.

It’s very possible this innate strength also exists in CoA and CoC as well, with Usopp simply not realizing it due to his cowardice.

This is why despite seemingly being a coward and a fodder, Usopp has never been KO’d by CoC. It’s also why Luffy believed Usopp could defeat Rodo’s cat despite him getting his ass beat. Luffy can sense Usopp’s true potential.

If Usopp can use such strength in CoO, I think it’s very possible he could have a CoA/CoC awakening in Elbaf to fight a holy knight.

Similar to his dressrosa haki bloom, Usopp’s CoA/CoC awakening won’t simply grant him the basics, but will more than likely let him access an advanced application of the power.

One such application imo is BM’s haki shielding. She could do this even as a child, meaning this power doesn’t even need training to use. Just strong enough haki.

I think Oda might give it to Usopp so he can fight an army of Domi giants or nightmares.

You say its far from entry level but one of the earliest Luffy/Zoro/Sanji moment of showing CoO in example fishman island where Luffy asked both Zoro and Sanji that he is sensing a beast somewhere "Caribou" both of them agreed and knew exactly where. Its not that far yes but still.

In Punk Hazard both Luffy and Sanji had a far off situation again. When Luffy left with Robin and Frankychopper he doubled back after hearing an explosion then staring at the direction and confirmed that someone is there. Sanji was with tashigi's tear.

if a Far off situation from that plateau to the palace isn't as far as these situations then i would say its entry level unless we come to Van Auger level in Mock Town.

The cat situation with Luffy saying that Usopp should’ve been able to take care of it by himself really does feel like foreshadowing

Luffy didn’t say anything about Nami (who also lost) but specifically addressed Usopp there

Feels like Usopp’s guaranteed to get something soon

Usopp does not have jack sh*t! Only Goofy, the fish and “our sigma male who should have been the main character” have powerful Haki. The ones who played Barbie dressing in “Co*ksu*ker Island” for two whole years are not counted as Haki users!

If I'm not mistaken, Oda previously said that the weakest member of the group will remain weak until the end. Yes, maybe in the original plans, Oda planned for Usopp to be the vice captain, but after this decision, he gave up and he is never going to gain any strange powers.

If Usopp gets a haki awakening, he could still be the weakest as simply awakening a power doesn’t mean you’ve actually mastered it.

Oda will have him temporarily access his haki to beat a strong enemy and then just not use it again until a future arc. He did the same with CoO.
