Has we all know Usopp is constantly tied to folktales and legends

When we first meet him his story embodies the boy who cries wolf replacing wolf for pirates

He's a liar with a very long nose representing Pinnochio

Luffy vs Usopp could be a representation of the tortoise and the hair because Usopp was the underdog and Luffy being the hare didn't take him seriously at first but Luffy is the captain and Mc so he had to win

Climbing a giant elephant and meeting a bunch of creatures can be reminiscent of James and the giant peach

In dressrosa while he and Robin where with the tontattas that was clearly a reference to Gullivers travels

Hell his name is a play on Aesopp the famous story teller/author

Given this pattern of Usopp basically being an amalgamation of books and stories and the fact he's the only east blue strawhat whose hadn't have a power up all post time skip

I think he's do and I think when he gets it he'll kill one or two Elbaf giants

The story I think Usopps arc will be based on is Jack The Giant Killer not to be confouse with Jack and the Bean stalk

Jack The giant killer is a story about bravery, overcoming adversy and conqueroring ones fear to save another

I can't say for sure what that power up will be but I think after bravely facing down giants and taking out a few of them he'll shed his cowardly self

And become known far and wide has

I am still fully convinced EOS usop will still be <<< chapter one luffy.
A dramatic death as Sogeking at Enies Lobby would have been the best outcome for that excuse of a character.
Also I doubt he'll have much screen time on elbaf as SURELY the giants will turn out as Nika worshippers too. Oda might use a nordic version of a sun god but clearly luffy will be the highlight leaving less and less for other strawhats especially for the least significant and most expendable one.
