The Blackbeard Pirates are using Saturn's Abyss via Catarina's Fruit to go to Marijoa for York, and Fish-Man Island for Poseidon/Shirahoshi.
Blackbeard with the Abyss is very dangerous, and, I think the Straw Hats will get the Abyss soon, too, possibly from Gunko.
The Abyss is like the teleportation ability you get at the end of RPGs once you've already uncovered like 90% of the map, and need to be able to fast travel around without taking forever.
Laffitte was shown outside the Redline/Marijoa, monitoring their food supplies. Laffitte sneaks in via food shipments using his Hypnosis powers, then draws a Magical Circle: bam, Blackbeard Pirates in Marijoa
We already saw Laffitte sneak into Marijoa during the meeting with Tsuru, Sengoku, and the Shichibukai (which Mihawk, Kuma, and Doflamingo attended). Oda introducing Laffitte in Marijoa was done with a purpose.
Laffitte low key looks like the kind of guy who would summon demons, too:
Wonder if Vasco Shot ends up taking any Celestial Dragon women as slaves? Maybe Shalria? That would be a twist... honestly, if Oda did it right, Blackbeard taking Celestial Dragons as slaves, like Rocks possibly tried to, could be very interesting writing
