When you look at Saturn's legs, then look at the fact that his a arachnoid spider insect like creature, its too obvious a cliche for Oda not to pull. He probably has poison on them legs. Even moreso when you look at the pattern on his legs. Also Saturn kinda just stood there after stabbing him, not finishing him off. Perhaps because he knows his poisoned. More importantly though, guess who has resistance to poison? You guessed it. :cheers:
I suspect this is where Chopper will get his moment, he'll probably be the one to cure Vegapunk by finding a anti dote (I don't see Oda giving him a death tbh, at least not right now and not meaninglessly as a causality).
BUT. He'll probably need the labs tools and equipment for it. So I believe they'll need to stay on the island for a bit to cure Vegapunk. We already know the Elbaf giants are on the shores fighting the marine fodder. This will allow Luffy to fight and defeat Saturn. Remember, in universe even 30 minutes is enough. The last part of Kaido fight was like a hour in universe, heck, the G5 V Kaido was probably 30 minutes in universe so its not at all improbable for at least Luffy to have a full on fight.
That brings up what the other straw hats will do. Well, Zoro (and soon to be Jinbei) are dealing with Lucci at the moment. I suspect that they may be made to deal with the vice admirals afterwards that are still around somewhere on the island.
That still leaves Kizaru? The logical conclusion would be Franky + Sanji V Kizaru, however, this chapter they did not look good tbh. They all got hit just trying to protect Bonney and Kumas pretty much done for. Kizaru would've killed both had Luffy not stepped in.
This imo brings the potential for most probably the most hated idea in this forum. Luffy V Kizaru + Saturn.
It's possible that Luffy tells Sanji and Franky to go escort Bonney/Kuma/VP whilst they're heading towards the ship/finding a poison cure, they may potentially encounter the Blackbeard Pirates that are also lurking around somewhere and probably landed during this time. The unaccounted ones are Katerina Devon and Lafitte.
Its possible that Kizaru will probably be throwing in potshots at Luffy wherever he can whilst Luffy focuses Saturn, he'll probably get swatted away, but will not be the full focus. I'd say that'll be Saturn since his the absolute evil this arc, Luffy wailing on and beating the snot out of a wavering and not necessarily evil opponent that had feelings for some of his allies, that has shown humanity, that has shown resistance to doing bad stuff etc etc isn't uncharacteristic of Oda, so I suspect that Kizaru will probably get a clear sense of justice ("unclear/uncertain justice" is his motto) through this fight. Which is why I think he'll be present and watching as Luffy and Saturn fight. Its pretty damn clear in story who is and who is not evil between Saturn and Luffy so I can't see Kizaru being the one Luffy unleashes everything on after the recharge, thats why I think it will and has to be Saturn. Luffy mentioning how his at full power now also makes no sense if all he'll be doing is a brief clash and running away from the island which is why I think at least Saturn will fall. Kizaru will probably be shown what clear justice is, whilst initially I think he'll thrown in attacks on Luffy, but the fight will eventually become Luffy V Saturn. It's possible that by the end of the arc Kizaru may become another of the "good" admirals along with Fujitora. Even more cooler imo is that Kizaru may be the +1 to fight Aokiji when SH's V BB Pirates comes. The shocking incident in Egghead imo may well be both the fall of a Gorosei and the switching of a admiral, of course, the words can be spun a variety of ways.
The iron giant is off course a outlier, but one thing we know is that Luffys heartbeat isn't just a activate code, its a power source. It didn't just activate it, its powering it. What that means is, it probably won't have immediate effect. It'll probably graduate power up as Luffy V Saturn continues. What it does is ofc anybodies guess, originally I thought it'd carry the Sunny and whilst still possible, seems like Brookes on it. Could come in to assist Luffy but it'd probably get fodderised if just Luffy getting kicked through it by Kizaru was enough to decimate a new one, so I doubt it, although, we know the seraphims aren't completely out of the picture yet. Yes they're trapped. But not placing my bets on the bubble holding them through all this destruction, somebody might even unleash them. Saturn still holds the highest authority over it. Even if Ssnake and Sbear can break protocol due to their feelings on Luffy and Bonney, I don't see Sshawk having a attachment to anybody on the island. It is possible that the Shawk is made to fight or stall the Iron giant, if Saturn calls it in, of course. More interestingly though, we've already seen that Imu can annihilate islands. And Egghead with Luffy, Bonney, Vegapunk, backstabbing admiral, fallen world elder in his true form, all the secret knowledge, iron giant all seem like the types of things you would not want around. Its possible the iron giant plays a part in that, if Imu commands it ofcourse.
