Between Cobra's death at Reverie; the focus on the D; Sabo's message from Cobra; and Vivi's extended presence during Vegapunk's speech, Vivi should be fully returning to the series, soon.
Vivi's first official arc with the crew as an Ally Character was Little Garden; the Giant introduction arc.
Vivi's first big character moment was in Whisky Peak; Egghead is formed from a whisky bottle producing Sea Clouds.
Vivi's arc focused on Revolution; the world is experiencing mass revolutions, with Sabo, the person accused of murdering Cobra, being seen as a hero by many revolting nations. Lulusia was just Uranus'd for revolting.
Vivi's country is a desert, and Egghead's end was about the world flooding. In Alabasta, we see Vivi mention Alabasta's changing climate/environment; IE, Oda's been planning this for a long time.
So, how's our girl coming back? It's all about clouds, baby. Think like a flightless Albatross!
Vivi is currently floating in Morgan's ship with Wapol. Egghead is now a floating Sky Island that can move wherever the Punks want it too.
The connecting character here is Stussy: at the end of Egghead, we saw Sentomaru flee, the Straw Hats flee without Stussy, and Lucci claim that he killed Stussy. Stussy herself claimed she didn't know how to live after Stella's death, but, now we know the Vegapunks are still mostly in tact. Stussy was the character who introduced the concept of Punk Records Frontier Dome to Lucci and Kaku.
Stussy escaped using Sky Walk to enter Punk Records, and join back up with the Punks. Also might have flown, not sure if her wings are functional, yet.
This is where the fun begins.
Vivi/Stussy both had their father figure murdered by the Gorosei for discussing the D and True History.
Vivi's female foil in Alabasta was Nico Robin, a mysterious woman who ended up helping the Straw Hats out after being introduced as an enemy. Like Stussy with Vegapunk, Robin is connected deeply to the Ancient History. Robin was then kidnapped by... Cipher Pol, who Vivi was kidnapped by in the Reverie. Robin wanted to die because she couldn't find the True History; Stussy's sole reason for living died researching the True History. Both have extensive histories with a Warlord (Croc and Kuma).
In Egghead, Robin's traditional role was replaced by... Stussy, who, serves as a mirror to Robin as a good Cipher Pol Agent, after Robin's arc was centered on them.
So, what connects Morgans, Vivi, Stussy, Vegapunk, and Robin? The truth.
Vivi is an agent of truth. While Stussy served the Celestial Dragons as an undercover agent, Vivi, with Celestial Blood, acted as an undercover agent for Baroque Works, an organization run by a subordinate of the Celestial Dragons' Gorosei.
"I'll tell the whole world about this!"
Vivi's arguments with Morgans have all been about, what? The truth. We still don't know how much Wapol told Vivi, but, considering Wapol's a bitch and Vivi is a queen, I'd imagine she knows mostly everything Wapol knows about the Reverie.
What Vivi really needs is someone with the recourses and power to broadcast the truth about her father's murder, and Cipher Pol kidnapping her, to the entire world.
This is made possible by Egghead and Morgan's ship meeting in the sky. We already know Morgans is pissed about Vegapunk killing print media.
Journalist in our world had to move from print media to radio and television in order to survive. We are seeing this happen in real time in One Piece.
Vivi has the truth.
Morgans has the platform.
Vegapunk has the broadcasting power.
So, we now just need a force present to get them all together. Who does Vegapunk know who has extensive connections with Morgans? Who has also threatened Morgans on panel?
Keep in mind, the world thinks Vegapunk is dead.
Vegapunk wants to share the true history; Morgans gives the ability to do that.
Vivi wants to reveal what happened to her father and the truth behind the Reverie
Morgans wants to continue to rule the news, and to do that, Morgans needs Vegapunk's communication technology.
Sabo was meant to tell Vivi she is a D. Vegapunk knows what the D is, at least a general idea of it.
Finally, Stussy is a Rokushiki master, who, like Vivi, uses hypnosis and other non-lethal means of attacking her enemies. Unlike Devil Fruits or Haki, Rokushiki is pure, learnable technique. Vivi joined a criminal organization within the Grandline as a 14-year-old and ended up as one of the top 20 officers within it.
Stussy IS Vivi's power-up: unlike Cipher Pol, who uses Rokushiki to serve the Celestial Dragons, Vivi will use Rokushiki to fight against them. Vivi was introduced post-time-skip leaping off from a large height, so, I expect Geppo to be in her arsenal.
Shigan and Shugan are interesting when paired with Vivi's Peacock Slashers (Supreme Grade Peacock Slashers incoming???).
Tekkai fixes a lot of Vivi's durability issues. Soryu for evasion.
Expect to see Vivi broadcast the truth about her father in the near future, and, eventually, make her way to the Straw Hats via Stussy.
Stussy stayed behind on Egghead, when she wanted to go with the Straw Hats but couldn't abandon CP0 and Vegapunk.
Now, Stussy will bring Vivi back to the crew, as a much stronger, more capable fighter.
Obviously, Vivi won't master Rokushiki overnight, but there will be plenty of fights coming up for her to get the training in.
Morgans and Chimerapunk will hit it off, and argue over ethical journalism while running the One Piece equivalent of Pirate Radio.
With the two day time-gap, I wouldn't be surprised if Stussy already had Chimerapunk meet up with Morgans. Stussy is a Cipher Pol Agent and Underworld Emperor, she'd have no problems tracking down Morgans. Finally, who did the Government send after Morgans?
Yep.
Cipher Pol.
And Stussy knows that the Straw Hats were going to Elbaf next.
Stussy is the key to returning Vivi to the Straw Hats. Cipher Pol kidnapped Vivi at the Reverie; so Stussy, a former CP0 Agent, will return Vivi.
And then maybe some lesbian sex with Robin, Stussy, and Vivi all going at it, if Oda really wants to make my day. SPANK. Ohhhhh yeahhhhhhhh
Vivi x Carrot's Mom??? Why not.
