So far we haven't seen any drawback from Wado Ichimonji. And yes not all swords are cursed.
But Wado Ichimonji means " Straight Line through the Path of Harmony "
And Zoro is known for getting lost and unable to go straight even in a straight line.
Curse of guiding one to wrong paths - " Mentally or physically ".
Coincidently Zoro never got lost when he was in shitmotsuki village and when Kuina died , Sword was passed down to Zoro and he left dojo to fight more and more strong people. But we found out he was getting lost there as well.
For kuina it could be mental Turmoil of Doubting herself , going thr wrong direction and leading to her own Suicide.
Though this does not work on Zoro because of his strong will power , we have seen countless times when zoro is called weak or to give up , he does not give up , he keeps getting up and stronger and stronger.
So Wado uses other method , Guiding him in wrong direction which would result in fatality for him to die.
But Zoro overcomes that everytime.
- Zoro ending up in Morgan Situation.
- Zoro ending up in Mihawk encounter.
- Zoro getting lost in Alabasta. (Closer to death and bombs)
- zoro getting lost in Sabaody (Near a Celestial dragon)
- Ending up in Arlong park Situation
- I won't be surprised if he lost an eye because he end up in a dangerous situation.
Many of Getting lost Situation has only resulted in zoro getting into more and mkre dangerous situation. Except for a few pun related Moments.
taming wado can result in him not getting lost further.
Zoro is capable of getting lost in a straight line and or even while riding a vehicle or animal.
He can even get lost in the Sunny itself.
Wado method of killing people is very different than other swords.

- Kitetsu wasn't explained but said it somehow kills the user in the most gruesome manner.
- and then Wado , Which toys with user mentally and physically in "getting lost in life".
