Idk about canceled but it definitely wouldn't last nearly as long, manga's these days tend to rush to the ending that they sacrifice key character development and skip major plot devices most manga these days don't last more than 5 years tops with my hero being one of the few outliers clocking in at right around 10 years .

That why a lot of people, including myself are worried that the ending for one piece won't be a great ending but could very well be a good ending because Oda certainly can't make everybody happy no matter what.

it definitly won't meet everyones expectations, it's impossible to please everyone but i think the general consensus will be that it's a good ending. I personally want it to end in a world government victory and for imu to rule anothr 1000 years
