bigmom was disgraced when luffy defeated some of her soldiers and ran away from her, yet luffy was proclaimed the winner, so if kaido was captured as a yonko, don't you think his reputation would have been over and won't they have killed kaido if he was captured as a yonko.
I think the captured kaido was sent to prison, like any other pirates and was experimented on by vegapunk

We don't know because Oda prefers to waste chapters on Momo, Tama and Yamato running around doing absolutely nothing rather than give us Kaido's back story.

1. The emperor system was not a thing during Rogers era.
2. Kaido entered Wano at the tail end of Rogers era
3. Kaido has not left Wano much since.

Between the defeat of rox and the death of Roger where he is as mostly unknown, but it’s assumed he was defeated in these time frames and likely lacked a crew since it seems his two top crew members joined during his defeats

Well honestly we know he was captured when he was a rookie in fact I doubt it was even actual admirals to fight him off at the time.

The more time passed the more and more unlikely he was still captured.
