Robin was about to accept death in Alabasta, before Luffy saved her life. Robin has become such a happy, sweet person post-timeskip, and I think she realizes how stupid Sukiyaki's words are. But, rather than scold him, she wants to give him a reason to live: she wants to encourage him to think about the future and the threat of Pluton, rather than just run away and hide himself. She's trying to inspire Sukiyaki to do his duty and deal with Pluton.
