General & Others Were the D Joyboys enemies as well

After the inclusion of Davy D. Jones into the lore of the world and the tidbit about Xebec believing he was the true King of the World at one point, a few ideas are brought up into question.

1. We’re told that Davy Jones is a famous pirate back in Long Ring Long Land and that Joyboy was the first pirate. This initially led people to think the two may have been the same until last chapter confirmed they weren’t. However, the relation between the two are completely unknown despite both being enemies of the World Government.

2. We’re told the void century was about a war of ideals between Joyboys side (the ancient Kingdom) and a group that was known as “The Alliance” which was made up of kings and queens throughout the world.

The idea I’m putting forth is that “The Alliance” isn’t the 20 kings and queens that became the world government, rather its possible it was a different Twenty Nations, those that aligned with Davy Jones and were given the moniker of D as a symbol of this alliance.

The idea comes from Nefertari D. Lili. She and Alabasta has always been a strange piece of lore in the Void Century. A common idea towards the D is that they would be related to the Ancient Kingdom; however, after meeting two of Joyboys nakama neither bore the initial. And with the Nefertari being a long standing royal family it’s quite doubtful they came from the Ancient Kingdom (Joyboys group).

As such is it possible that the Ds were a group of monarchs from throughout the world who were once Kings and Queens of nations themselves. It would explain the fact that these Ds are multiple races and would explain how this war is deemed a war of ideals.

It also hints at what the Harley meant when describing the second world:
“The People of The Moon Dreamed” -> Joyboys side
“The People of the Half Moon Dreamed” -> The D side
These dreams aren’t stated to be the same, these two dreams may be the ideals that Vegapunk was referring to.

So is it possible that the D were Joyboys enemy all this time? Is it possible Imu and the World Government merely won the throne by not fighting and claiming the throne when the victors side was at its weakest?

Interesting theory. I expect Oda to throw in some twists and subvert the reader's expectations on who was the good and the bad side.
He has emphasized throughout the manga that people aren't black and white and that different people may come to different conclusions after hearing the true history.
