Speculations What did Joyboy mean by "Just like I always do, don't I?!"

Hey, there are two main translations I have seen of what Joyboy said to Emet

One translation said something like "That's right! I will save you from the past! Just like always!"

I think that translation especially emphasizes the saviour part of the Nika legend, but I have mostly seen what he said be translated not as the translation I mentioned, but as the one in the panel I have linked, "That's right! I will save you all the way from the past! Just like I always do, don't I?!"

The thing is, either way, the scene is happy, Joyboy with a happy pose and Emet being happy and careless too

Emet didn't disagree or ask what "Just like always" meant

So, just like always implies something like the haki knot happened before right?

And how many times did something like "being saved from the past" ( again I like this translation the most, being saved from the past in the sense of being saved from past mistakes, like for example the dawn will save people from the past darkness ), or "being saved all the way from the past" happen that Joyboy would reffer to that happening as "just like always" or "just like I always do, don't I?!" and Emet would find it a regular or even really happy and agreeable statement?

What do you think?

"I will save you all the way from the past" - continuation of the dialogue where Joyboy says Emmet will continue on living long after Joyboy is dead.
"Just like I always do" - Joyboy saved Emmet multiple times in their era (when this sentence was Present Tense)

Nothing more to it really
