I question how she got so big. Both of her parents are human size??

I’m not one to easily judge appearances, but the drastic change over the years is extraordinary and somewhat odd even for someone in her 60s.

Did you know that Shakuyaku is 64?! She’s only 4 years younger! It’s remarkable!! Certainly fitting for a former Empress of Amazon Lily.

People have asked in the SBS Column what characters would look like at Age 40/60. Oda has drawn the characters with a good feature, and a bad future.

Could it be that Big Mom’s bad future happened? She gets dramatically slimmer if she doesn’t eat for a while, but how did she manage to stay fairly consistent for several decades?

What happened to her after her 40’s?! Depression? Old age? Gluttony??

If I start getting obsessed with candies and sweets then I would be fat too. BM was probably normal size at birth but she got drastically bigger due to her candy obsession probably. Then you factor in her age and voilà.
