I assume that age 39+ is the prime of the prime of the character in Onepiece, because this is the age where Shanks and Mihawk is!

It was already introduce in the manga about how age could actually make a character’s devil fruit stronger.

like Momonoske, where affer shinobu turn him into his adult form, his df also changed and turned him into a dragon! Not only that afrer few days he was also able to shoot fireball like Kaido.

So what if just what if Bonney turned Luffy into his age 40? Where Luffy’s height, power, strength, mind, body and spirit! Is probably at that age is where he is in his true potential?! Would luffy unlock something that weve never seen before? A power that even Kizaru, Seraphims will tremble?

1. That's because Momo is a Zoan. An adult creature is obviously stronger than juvenile creature. We don't know if that applies to Deity type.

2. Bonney's power doesn't last long on living creature. It's possible Haki resistance also factor in to that.

3. Talent determines someone's ceiling, whereas hardwork and other things determine how fast you are reaching the ceiling. Zoro has better talent than Mihawk, so he reaches Emperor level in his 20s, whereas Mihawk's probably in his 30s. Luffy has better talent, that's why he reaches King level at 20s.
So aging up Luffy may not increase his power that much.
