General & Others What makes for Good World Building?

In your opinion what make a series have Good World Building? For the people who say One Piece has "Bad" World building why? And how would you improve it? And for people who say Naruto has "Good" World Building why?

World building is something that should come natural in the story. No one would explain details about our world that everyone automatically knows just for the sake of explaining it. Would you mention that our sky is blue and why it is blue to anyone? Under some circumstances, maybe. Normally you would not.
The author should already know what the world looks like before the characters in the story start exploring it. There is no need for a vast cast of characters for a good world building. All it takes is planning and consistency. Its also important that the world is not too confusing.
Its why most fictions plays in a setting that is very similar (if not ourright the same) than our world/universe.
Another integral part for me is "leave room for mysteries". Do not explain everything. Especially when it comes to history of the world you are building. Give hints. Peak interest. But do not explain it all. It makes it all the more interesting.

World building itself is not very important either for most stories. A long running series like OP can benefit from it, whereas for a short running series its almost always superfluous.

Anyone can show a bunch of planets and cultures and call it world building but what makes shows stand out for good world building is when it all connects as one coherent story when elements of every world, country, island what have you all come together to make a whole story and build on the overall lore rather than a bunch of disconnected stories that only serve to make the world seem bigger

One piece is one of the best examples of amazing world building because it not only expands the world but also tells a whole story

Another example of great world building is star wars

It has hundreds of planets and Aliens but at least in the main continuity it tells a coherent story that feels like part of a whole

That in my opinion is what makes for good world building

I believe great world building comes from events that happening outside of MC reach. If the world is MC centered it makes bad worldbuilding. Also, i think, when some major players make move that will eventually will involve the MC, this is also good sight of World Building, but that only works if this "actions" happens not in the one arc and then MC and this major player will be separated again.

For me good example of good worldbuilding without mention OP is Hunter x Hunter. For example Kurapika didn't follow the MC, also many events in the Ants Arc happened without MC, for example Gon never have met the King.

While I can mention bad example of worldbuilding. For me bad worldbuilding happened in DBZ after the Freeza arc. For me it didn't make any sence that Red Army scientist whose invetions losed to kid Goku, was able to create something that could be even more scary then Freeza.
