Don’t you know that Kaido and Big mom’s bounty added together add up to 8.99 billion
Oda chose 9 billion for a reason and divided it up between them for the symmetry. So it’s by design that the for beating Kaido and big mom is 9 billion.
meaning to increase Luffy’s bounty, you have to reduce the others to maintain the 9 billion… also Law did way more than Kid so he should also have a higher bounty than Kid

Without Kid, Law is beaten by Linlin easily who will focus on Law only
Without Kid, BM wouldn't need to grow bigger nor worry about dodging or being blown down

Him losing to Golden Boy doesn't mean his bounty will be below 1.5B. Imagine thinking someone who fought on Rooftop as of main fighters and took down yonko deserves less bounty than Warlords (excluding Mihawk) , Especially when both BM and Shanks praise his strength
Oh Kaido also recognised him as Little Monster alongside Luffy and Law
This chapter doesn't erase his wano feats and hype
It only serves to wank Shanks.
No SN looking good against Shanks in similar fashion , unless you're luffy
If GB can be made a fool for Shanks wank, Nobody is safe unless you're Yonko & Luffy

I can’t recall anything that he’s done that was actually impactful besides what he did during Wano, and he still got totaled by Kaido in the beginning (albeit he hadn’t awakened his fruit yet.)

@Seatonnes because Law did 50% of the work in that fight… The Plot bombs and magma at the bottom of the hole Law made did 30% of the work… Kid did 20% of the work
there is no way Kid should even be comparable to law in the fight to begin with
