Questions & Mysteries What was Kaido feeling?

#1
I was re reading the Rooftop, and noticed Kaido was feeling strange haki from Enma like 2-3 times, what was that? I know enma sucks Zoro's haki but zoro was using haki on all three Swords so why kaido only felt it from enma? Any explanations i missed?

Nothing special. Some next chapter he said: "Oh, that's Oden's sword". He recognizes Oden as a monster samurai. It's not strange that he remembers his sword even after 20 years.
Oden had this sword 20 years ago > Kaido felt his sword then.
Zoro had this sword in chapter 1002 > Kaido felt this sword again.

Simple.

He was feeling Zoro's haki. Strange also means unfamiliar or unusual.

adjective
1.
unusual or surprising in a way that is unsettling or hard to understand.

2.
not previously visited, seen, or encountered; unfamiliar or alien.

He didn't know Zoro's haki so if felt unfamiliar and unsettling to him. That haki has the power to cut and damage Kaido. The only reason he felt it from that one sword was because of the large amount of haki being released from enma.

But why only from enma and not other swords?

IMO, he was sensing Enma's killing intent.

We know from Kozaburo that "cursed" swords aren't actually a thing, but they do have personalities. Pre-TS Zoro could "sense" that Sandai Kitetsu was cursed.

Kozaburo said that Enma in particular was very good at its job, and he also said that swords are meant to take lives. So I'd say that Enma has a very alarming personality or "aura" that exudes its murderous intent

This. Enma wants to kill kaido. That's why it only had that fire against kaido. It's had overflowing haki in it against others but not the same flame.
Enma has kaido on sight.

oden's

if you continue reading he recognizes it as oden's blade due to the haki he sensed

it doesnt mean oden's armament haki is making zoro stronger
but it does mean the will of the prev users in some ways remains with the blade.
