I mean Mihawk's strength is a major part of his character though, so this isn't a fair comparison.
Mihakw being below Shanks wouldn't absolutely infuriate me but it would still be incredibly illogical since Oda's said he's above Shanks before on several occasions. It's a weird switch up.
Anyway, both are equally pathetic. Sanji and Shanks aren't great characters because of how strong they are, and Sanji being below Zoro and Shanks being below Mihawk don't change anything. Real fans would realize this, but these people obviously wouldn't given that they likely just stan those specific characters as a way to get revenge on Zoro or Mihawk fans and don't actually like Sanji or Shanks.

Real Shanks fans like @AL sama don't really seem to care if he loses to Mihawk. Hell Oda could draw Mihawk killing Shanks in one blow with that toy knife from the Baratie arc and he wouldn't care

Agreed, same for most fandoms Mihawk fans are just Zoro fans etc. I respect genuine fans of characters.

I'm a fan of Mihawk but I definitely don't like him as much as I like Zoro, Loki or Issho, just to throw some names out there.
I do hope he gets more characterization soon though, even if it's just a quick little backstory explaining why he's so hellbent on being a swordsman and specifically the strongest swordsman and also why he seems to hate the Marines.
