How does Hell's paradise compare?
Wait are you asking asking this or is it more like a rhetorical question lol?

JJK and Chainsaw man are two of the best to come from this generation of shonen.

I'm a battle junky so I initially preferred JJK to CSM, but lately I've started to lean towards CSM, Fujimoto knows how to write some goated characters.
This I agree with completely. I was a bigger JJK fan at first, but I think I've been slowly drifting towards CSM recently.

Genuine question. How do you think it compares to the other two and in what ways? I'll consider reading it if it's in the same ballpark.

Yeah it's in the same ballpark imo.

This is the basic premise of Jigokuraku

Gabimaru the Empty, a former ninja assassin feared as a heartless husk of a man, spends his days on death row wondering when an executioner skilled enough to so much as harm him will arrive, as he thinks nothing of seeing an end to his meaningless existence... Or so he thought. Then the lady executioner, Asaemon the Beheader, rekindles his hope with an astounding proposition. If he ever wishes to see his beloved wife again, he is, under the auspices of the shogunate, to embark on a perilous voyage to the mysterious mystic island said to house the elixir of immortality. Should he be the one among many rival death-row fiends and scoundrels to find the elixir, he'll earn a full exoneration, and, more importantly, a chance at an ordinary married life with the light of his life--the woman who made the world seem not so ugly. What awaits them is a journey like no other!

It carries the same dark vibe as CSM. The art is gorgeous. The pacing is fast and as crazy as CSM. It has that sense of urgency and uncertainty that CSM and JJK have. It has some pretty good twists. Honestly, it's quite similar to CSM. Which shouldn't be a surprise because the author is a former assistant of Fujimoto and has taken inspiration from Fujimoto. The cast is pretty good, with some very well written characters. It checks off those boxes that you're searching for if you want something similar to CSM. It has a concise power system, it's not dragged out. It's in the same archetype imo.

So yeah to simplify it lol
Fast pace
Gore
Violence
Familiar art style
Dark Aesthetics
Good Cast
Atypical MC
Uncertainty
Deaths
Some quite crazy characters
Quite good art which makes the fights extremely good

How do you think it compares to the other two
This is a tricky question. As you can see I haven't yet voted cuz I am still going over all of them lol.

It's certainly good. And it's only 127 chapters long so you won't regret giving it a shot. It lacks the exposition the other two have for sure, but I think that will soon change with the upcoming anime.

These are the 2 anime trailers

Now the only other people that I know who have read all 3 are @NikaInParis @TheKnightOfTheSea and @Lindltaylor so maybe they can lend me a hand here lol.

Personally i like CSM & Denji the most out of the trio.
But yeah, JJK & Hell's Paradise are also good mangas.
Would 100% recommend them.
I noticed. But I tagged you cuz we talked about how Jigo compares to the other 2 and in what ways. What do you think?

Personally i binge read Jigokuraku once.
So i might not really be the best of the judges.

I personally like CSM > JJK > Jigokuraku.
Fujimoto is simply a much better story teller imo.

Hell's paradise is under 150 chapters and it is finished? That's all the motivation I need to read it.
It's a good manga bro.
I'd recommend.

Yeah my man, 127 chapters and done.

The chapters are also of normal length. By that I mean they average around 20ish pages per chapter most often, besides the first few chapters.

When you finish it, here's a thread where you can drop your thoughts.

Yeah I read it a while ago too. Might need a reread or someone who has recently read it to compare. I think @wordy did and has been reading JJK recently. Not sure about CSM tho Wordy?

It's so fucking good bro.
Genuinely speaking.
Ishida is a GOATed Mangaka.

It's good to see another Tokyo Ghoul appreciator.
It's such an underrated manga.
Up until end of Cochlea, Re was really fucking great as well.
What blows my mind is Ishida was writing such a heavy manga (both artwise and storywise) on a weekly schedule....bruh take that in.

IIRC in his final volume Ishida said the best moment of his life was finally being done with the manga because it was too taxing for him, he genuinely said he hated drawing it by that point it drained his life away, and you could somewhat see it reflect in the story. Being a mangaka is extremely demanding to begin with and then this man was doing a Berserk lvl manga on a Naruto schedule. Ridiculous.

Nothing but respect for him.
