Which month long hiatus would you argue was worse, this year's or last year's?

Which was worse?

Last year was worse for me, personally. I've been translating the manga to Hebrew for 7 years now, and I need Oda's breaks to sometimes have time for myself and my family on weekends. Last year I was promised a month break, but instead got the "Road to Laugh Tale" to work on, which was harder than an average chapter and it turned out to be 6 or 7 weeks with no break for me.
This year there was nothing demanding like the "Road to Laugh Tale", so I have time for myself and my family, and since I really can't sit still just waiting for the next chapter, I took on all kinds of neglected projects, like old chpaters and filler episodes that were never translated to hebrew, Volume 4 billion, and I even uploaded my King x Robin fanfic in Hebrew to my website, now that it's not a spoiler anymore to anime watchers.
So even if this year the hiatus is longer, I feel like I can both have a rest from my commitment to the chapters, and I also don't find miself too bored or restlessly anticipating the next chapter.

This year feels worse for me, because there were a lot of breaks before that, basically a chapter every 2 weeks due to Golden week, Oda's personal breaks and so on.

On the other hand, last break was so crushing that I ended up joining WG forum, lol. And this break coincided with my mom's b-day plus I picked up a lot of other titles thanks to @Satoru Gojo's recs and I was busy with irl stuff and other mangas. Still, this one is less satisfying as we're in the middle of the fun arc instead of almost end of a god-damned Wano.

About the same.

When we reached the end of Wano, I've been a bit tired of reading OP, so I ended up just skimming trough the spoilers every week. Therefore, the break didn't really bother me there. I actually totally forgot that there was one :zosleepy:

This break now was okay, it passed by faster than I expected :optimistic:

This year. Life sucked last year, but this year has just been a slog of sadness for most people I know, and One Piece is my biggest escape from it, and a lot of other people's biggest escape.

The one thing that makes me happy is knowing Oda's gotten two month long breaks in back to back years, I hope it's helped his health, and given him time to spend with his family.

The anime's been carrying pretty hard, though, I thought Kid and Law vs Big Mom was really well done.

Hopefully after this break, we can have less going forward this year. I like Egghead, but if we have like, 15 or so chapters left in the year, I hope we can get to the next arc. A volume and a half seems like more than enough time to leave, especially since the pacing should pick up when KIZARU'S ASS FINALLY GETS TO THE DAMN ISLAND.
