Assuming Kaido had to lose in his dragon form for symbolic reason which scenario would you prefer Oda to have gone with
1. Magma hybrid vs pre g5 luffy and g5 luffy
2. No magma hybrid, just drunken kaido what happened in the story
3. Drunken kaido vs pre g5 luffy and magma hybrid vs g5 luffy (this scenario will massively widen the gap between kaido and bigmom (which might affect the story))

Kaido was already doing good in his hybrid against G5 luffy. He only used his magma flame mode as a response to Bajrung gun.

No attack of G5 comes even close to size and power of BG.
