So we Know Oden was given 2nd ship on a wimp for no reason, even tho he didnt want to.

The question is now who are the other 4 commanders?

Marco isn't commander yet based on the fact he is getting ordered around and he acts cowardly, doesnt wanna go look. We know current Marco never feared going into chaotic stuff.
Here is the image


From this panel alone, j can say Rakuyo, the guy ordering Marco are Commanders of 2 divisions.

The last 2 divisions is led by Vista! And Thatch ir Whitebay.
Why? Because Vista is older than Marco and Jozu, Vista was going to missions with Oden while Marco and Jozu were staying back on ship most the time.

Why Thatch? Well if Whitebay already left then Thatch is the other option.

Shiki old age looking meh is from the movie part that Is non canon

Chinjao literally went inactive and lost his main forte (his head)

Prime Rakuyo was mid high tier at best.
Fosa was low high tier.

Imo.
1st Division: Marco
2nd Division: Oden
3rd Division: Jozu
4th Division: ??? (I didn’t see Tatch so prolly someone else).
5th Division: Vista

The youngings said they wanted to do it, so the older folk prolly took a step back & allowed them do as they wished. I reckon WB put one of the older members on each of those ships to keep them in line. Division number doesn’t really equate to strength, else WB woulda made Oden 1st Division Commander.

Plus Rakuyo is the 7th Division Commander, so it doesn’t really compute why he’d have given up his division number for Marco, same with the others on ur list.

I reckon Oda’ll introduce the division commanders next chapter when the WB Pirates clash with the Roger pirates ^^.

If Marco was commander
He wouldn't be ordered around by Fosa or Rakuyo who arent commanders according to you

Gotta remember the duvions were 5 back then
As WB pirates grew... it gotten bigger
And divisions changer

Marco grew to be 1st ship commander
Rakuyo became 7th ship leader

Rakyo and Fossa switching from Commanders 1, 3, 4 or 5 to 7th and 15th currently doesn't make much sense. All divisions are equal according to Oda. You could argue division work became specialized (medical division, scouting division, carpenter division, etc) and they consequently switched to their trade, but this requires more fanon about how WB's Divisions work.

The best case is that Andre, Whitey Bae, Epoida or other allies were part of the original 5, not Fossa and Rakuyo, and they gave that up to sail with their own crews. They don't stand out in this chapter at all.

Marco getting told to go scout is no different that Oden getting yelled at by everyone (the speech bubble stems from multiple sources) to accept 2nd Div commander. Or Kaido getting yelled at by his no-name subordinates. Or Luffy getting told what to do by the Strawhats all the time. I don't take it seriously at all. Authority in the OP pirate world doesn't work like the real world, like you wouldn't yell at your own boss for making a mistake.

If we assume the title of division commander gives you more authority that those without it, then yh, but I don’t think it was that serious at the time. With the exception of Oden who WB directly appointed as 2nd division commander, Marco & the others were prolly just Division commanders in name at the start. Plus there’s no reason for Rakuyo & the others to have given up their division numbers to Marco & the others given that there is no rank amongst the division commanders. Division 1 Commander isn’t necessarily stronger neither does the title have more authority that Division Commander 13 for example. Plus, the fact that Marco, Jozu & Vista were Division Commanders 1, 3 and 5 respectively 2 years ago with the Division 2 Commander seat being open prior to Ace joining (due to Oden leaving) fits perfectly with the notion that they were appointed their respective titles of division commanders along with Oden from jump.
