Kuro represents a nice contrast with Luffy especially Kuro abandoning his ambition for an easy life, the importance of the skill and cross bones etc. Obviously Kuro obviously isn’t a masterpiece of character writing but even then that’s more than Minato has. Naruto has many great characters but Minato isn’t even in the top 100.

I remember Hashirama being just a generic strong shinobi with no personality, only memorable for his wood power

Ryokugyu at least has some really unique things going on with his tattoo and his philosophy on justice.

R2: Kuzan vs Tobirama

I remember Tobirama being better than his generic brother. But Kuzan is legit one of the few characters Oda wrote who is just otherwise far beyond Oda’s writing ability.

R3: Fujitora vs Hiruzen

Legit never cared about Hiruzen. When I first realized he was going to die, I was just like “wait, am I supposed to care about this guy?”

Fujitora meanwhile is probably the best character in Shonen right now.

R4: Sakazuki vs Minato

So Naruto’s version of Shanks vs the other best character in Shonen. Lol
