Like the title asks who will be the Katakuri to Kaido’s Doflamingo?



Kaido and Doflamingo vs Luffy similarities
Luffy vs Doflamingo
  1. Group effort at first but then became a 1v1
  2. Luffy used his strongest attack King Kong gun to defeat him. It at first clashing with doffy’s strongest in the air before burying him into the ground
  3. To reach doffy’s level+ Luffy needed to train all 3 of his haki and develop a new gear in g4
Luffy vs Kaido
  1. Group effort at first but then became a 1v1
  2. Luffy used his strongest attack bajrang gun to defeat him. It at first clashing with kaido’s strongest in the air before burying him into the ground
  3. To reach kaido’s level+ Luffy needed to train to advance all 3 of his haki and develop a new gear in g5

As for who the katakuri parallel could be imo
  • Don't think it’s kizaru Saturn or anyone in egghead
  • Don’t think it’d be Linlin even if they fight
  • I think Blackbeard could be the best contender


As for why I believe so
  1. I think Blackbeard will actually be stronger than kaido by the time he fights Luffy
  2. The Blackbeard Pirates are all about being sneaky, manipulative, and tricky with teach’s top 2 strongest outside of Kuzan having abilities that mess with the senses. Shiryu with sight and laffitte with sound. Imo that might imply Blackbeard might have some ability that will also effect luffy’s senses and force him to strengthen his observation haki. Same way how luffy needed to strengthen his observation haki to defeat katakuri
  3. I think luffy vs Blackbeard will actually be a 1v1 like luffy’s fight with kata was
  4. Imo same way luffy beat cracker before he fought katakuri i think something similar will happen then. With luffy beating Kuzan and taking him out of the equation before his fight with Blackbeard
    • I don’t think Kuzan will straight up just betray the bbp at this point with him staying for better or worse. Kinda like how Bellamy knew he was on the wrong side but his pride wouldn’t let him just switch
    • Taking Kuzan out means zoro and sanji will fight the second and third strongest subordinates like usual
    • If logia awakening works similar to being able to make an army of sentient elemental creatures like I and others have theorized it’d be pretty similar to what cracker does with his soldiers

Because they’re not just little similarities and same way the doffy and kaido fights have similarities the katakuri and Blackbeard fights might also thematically

Luffy vs kizaru while they obviously fought was never really a real fight with a needed victor

Just a luffy in a rush just trying to stop him long enough so they can escape vs a distracted kizaru who doesn’t want to fight
Luffy doesn’t really care about fully beating him. He will against Blackbeard

BB already has a way to disrupt Luffy and that is Yami Yami no mi; unless Oda does the worst thing which is to allow Nika to be the exception (again) to a seemingly unbeatable fruit (against other fruits); in the realm of possibilities I concede but the worst nonetheless.

Has to be Kizaru.

DR/Wano -> Main Arc ending up with a flying giant punch making a hole in the ground

WCI/Egghead -> Escape Arc ending up in a 1 v. 1 with a speed based battle

What's funny about this, in EL Rob Lucci was the main boss and Blueno the "warmup".

As for Blackbeard not having an ability that luffy would need to strengthen his observation haki with like against kata or potentially zoro and sanji against shiryu and laffitte

He could always just get a new fruit that lets him
Imo bb getting fruits that mimic/counter shanks’s advanced haki abilities is more than a possibility. With the only thing he’s really missing is a counter to future sight

Kizaru isn't even the main villain nor main fight for Luffy
He already got packed by luffy twice, (even in 1v2)

Katakuri was trashed before fighting Luffy nor did he get beaten around by luffy before the finale

These guys don't even realise what's they are saying
Kizaru is below Kaido and can't force Luffy to power up nor surpass himself

Also Doffy isn't Kaido anyway, he was equal to Luffy and lost badly to g4


DOFFY : SATURN --> not above Luffy, can't beat G5 at all
CRACKER : Kizaru --> top guard skills with amazing CoA, can make clones but endurance/durability ain't that great.
Cracker lost in 1v2 in round 2 while kizaru loses second round in 2v1.

KATAKURI : TEACH --> will push Luffy into a new status (pK) and force him to power up
Or perhaps it might be Topman this arc
