Why anime fans like and support anime villains but not real life villains?

It has always been a mystery for me and it’s not just anime villains but also movies and TV shows as well and they always complain how there’s not enough deaths but when a real life villain massacres people they get mad and sad and shit.

Im not supporting real life villains per se but I can’t find it in me to get mad at what they do since this is what people want fictional villains to do as well

Cause fictional villains bring entertainment while real life villains only bring suffering.

In a story with a hero/villain dynamic, the hero is only as great as the obstacles they overcome with the ultimate obstacle being the villain. The more competent, successful and dangerous the villain then the more the hero's victory is earned and the greater the satisfaction the audience feels at the hero's achievement.

In real life, folk unsurprisingly would rather not have villainous gits at all because obvious reasons.

I mean if a real life villain was a miticulous, smart, evil and a competent person that killed some of the good people then when the good people win it’ll be well earned and you’ll feel more accomplished, so we can understand why these people died, in order to give more motivation to those who survived to fight

This. Plus most protagonists are cringe.

Don't play dumb. Enjoying a story with tragedy and stakes has zero real life consequences.

The scenario you just described has severe real life consequences. No sane, sensible person would want that.

We need to know the truth about the real villains. In the manga, we have a backstory/ideology/reasons and etc. but there's a lot we don't know about real villains, because now in the media and in the history books villains are portrayed as bad people and a lot of things are not mentioned
