I know many people really liked changing of Luffy's fruit gomu-gomu, but for me this is just another example of bad writing, lack of character development.
Why I'm saying this? Because only thing that made Luffy right now look special is turning everything into rubber. But from Doffy fight it is obvious that paramecia can change enviroment into it's element.
Then question is, why Oda changed fruit if he didn't really need changing fruit to show awakening of gomu-gomu. Answer, because he is lazy writer. He could give his readers training scene of all SH, so every one would be able bevame strong without ass pull, but Loda chose most pathetic way of awakening Luffy's fruit.
If Luffy is not rubber then why Eneru wasn't able to defeat him? Oda continue to ruin own story with each new chapter of Wano.
This fruit change was never foreshadowed, so it's clear that it's happening unplanned.
More to that, this decision ruins whole story, case before Wano we was thinking that One Piece is about people without unordinary powers, who have strongest power: faith in their dream. But now it is God chosen one boy, who will acvieve alll his goals case he is Chosen One.
