Garp fought Offscreen Blackbeard Pirates and survived. That is frankly at least as impressive as what Whitebeard did at Marineford, even if it doesn't look that way.

Hachinosu, without Blackbeard and half of its crew, is nowhere near Marineford level.

That version of Whitebeard is 15 years old. Welcome to 2025. The narrator told us, Roger, Garp and Xebec were in charge of the pirating era. Whitebeard was just a minion of Xebec. A trophy won in a Davy Back fight.

Warp's portrayal stands supreme right now. Whitebeard doesn't hold a candle to it.

You can spin it however you want.

Being someone who is underling doesn't undermine you when Roger himself respects the other person in their strength.

Garp led Marines, Roger led his crew, and so did Rocks. Ofc they were the charge of the pirating era.

Whitebeard being Xebec's lackey is not 2025 information.

Or post that, Garp is the one wanking Whitebeard. Not the other way around.

That was half a joke. As for not-half-a-joke part, again, we simply don't know what had happened there. What we do know however is that Garp had clashed equally with Kuzan, which is about what Whitebeard himself had managed. In fact, Garp vs Kuzan fight is almost an exact mirror of the Whitebeard vs Akainu one.

And Whitebeard had his commanders and allied fleets with him, whereas Garp went to Hachinosu with a single ship full of bums. That basically explains the rest of the difference.
