Versus Battle Why do people even like raditz and sasori?

They appear once and then die, Pretty much existing only in the one fight and nowhere else
I mean, raditz shows up monologues about the saiyans and his relation to goku then fights him later on and that's pretty much it

Sasori same thing, he monologues some bit and has one fight then dies

I mean outside of their relation to other groups ie the saiyans and the larger freeza force and akatsuki. What do they really have character wise?

For Raditz, his cool design back from back when Toriyama drew his characters badass and ripped as hell, being Goku’s brother, and his one battle being quite memorable in itself and kicking off the series.

For Sasori, his cool puppet jutsu, the epic animation of his fight, his dynamic with fan favorite Deidara, and his fight being perhaps the one time Sakura was even remotely badass the entire series

Jiren is quite ripped even moreso then raditz
Even before raditz, characters like roshi existed and he's far more jacked then raditz ever was

and his one battle being quite memorable in itself and kicking off the series.

His battle with goku and piccolo was one of many fights. Surely not the first

If anything. Yamcha's fight with goku was the first big fight to kick the series off
If you wanna count any and all fights, first would of been the bear theif

Everything said about sasori can be applied to other characters
Tobi had the same dynamic with deidara and good fight animation is meh, obito vs kakashi and even lee vs gaara are way more notable for the presentation

Just seems like the characters in a vacuum are not liked as the difference with neji as a example who has his rant on fate and his dislike of his family which are relatable things hence why he's liked as a character and sasori is liked as a member of the akatsuki
