Speculations Why do people think Imu caused the sea to reject devil fruits?

It makes more sense that Poseidon from 800-900 years ago did it and that he did it because the devil fruits fell into the hands of the World Government. Poseidon didn't want devil fruit users attacking the Fishman Kingdom, so he caused the entire sea to reject them.

If there was another reason this might have happened, then I suspect it has to do with the ancient kingdom and not Imu.

Imu couldn't figure out how to create an energy source for his weapon, so why do people think he is somehow capable of everything the ancient kingdom was? At least with Poseidon, we can assume he was in league with the ancient kingdom.

I don't know if you are right, it could have been Poseidon as you said, but the one that doesn't want others to explore the past is Imu so... Maybe there's something at the seafloor apart from the history that could suppose detrimental to him

To do this, you have to assume he created the devil fruits, and that he controls the sea too. At some point, this becomes too much. He's a Sea Devil who created the devil fruits and forced the sea to reject them? There's something not quite right about that. If he has that much control, he wouldn't have many problems at all.

Imu most likely is the sea devil. Imu backwards is umi.

DFs didn't fell in hands of WG. They were and are spread throughout the world. There are more DF users outside of marines.

It offends the natural order of things.

And there are, undoubtedly as far as I’m concerned, natural powers in the One Piece world that predate any knowledge or word about the so-called First World.

I think whatever this “Mother Nature” is that rejects DF users, is a power beyond defining or understanding, like Power of Love.

Heres how it went
The sea: hey imu, your low-key kinda bad but Al's kinda rude, and since you like devil fruits we don't like them either
Imu: well, shi, nothing I can do, might as well just sleep for a bit
