Pretty simple, if a legend like Rayleigh is very aware that he can't beat Teach so he found another way to Win without fighting than Garp is very capable of the same since he allied to Roger to beat Rocks (a crew he knew he wouldn't be able to win by himself).

So if Garp is enganging at Aokiji without trying anything else (don't say shouting him to comeback to marines was really him trying to avoid a fight) is because he knows he is capable of doing it.



And even that Rayleigh had no doubt when going against Kizaru



So Garp is sure that he is capable of handling Aokiji and he surely has the ability to know that just like he was sure he would kill Akainu back at Marineford



Not only that but Aokiji is clearly incapable of knowing what are his limits otherwise he wouldn't have fight Akainu neither would have free Teach's crew

Sure, but Garp's win would serve no narrative purpose. His story involvement ended with the end of MF while Aokiji's new role was just revealed in the recent chapter. It would serve no purpose to have Kuzan defeated here letting Garp and Koby escape.

The theme of the post wano era is the rise of the BBP's. If you've noticed they're taking wins at all fronts atm.

At the same time i can't see a legend like Garp put in a cell used as Leverage to corner the WG/Navy. Only logical scenario he croaks or worse for us he actually wins and just walks out

That depends what you are considering a win.

Garp dying but saving Koby is surely a win for him. And we could say Garp wins over Aokiji but then gets jumped by other Teach's subordinates like Shiryuu for example.

There is no such thing as rise of BBP's as the theme of post wano era. BBP's are collecting Devil Fruits since Marineford. They aren't taking wins at all fronts. Amazon Lily they failed to get Hancock's DF. It seems they let Law escape. Teach fight against Law was much harder than Shanks fight against Kid.

I don't think Garp will beat everybody and save everybody. I do think he will save them but at the cost of his own life. And for that he can't be defeat in a 1v1 but he will have to hold back all other pirates.

Garp is old and Aokiji is an Admiral. Kuzan > Garp.

And there's no merit in Garp defeating Kuzan. What's the point? If Garp defeats Kuzan, Marines will retreat and the Coby plotline is a waste of time.

If Kuzan defeats Garp, Coby will fight Kuzan and grow stronger from it.

If Aokiji defeats Garp he will defeat everybody else. What would be the point on rescue mission?

Greenbull neg diffed Young Whitebeard level opponent, the same Whitebeard who was Xebec's rhm, who held his supreme bisento at the time and backed up the strongest most heinous pirate in existsnce

I could say the same if Aokiji didn't showed up like this.

To me still doesn't make any sense how Aokiji joined Teach and how he was guarding the island and how he is the 10th Titanic Captain.
