General & Others Why Oda didn’t make Vegapunk straight up reveal that Luffy is Joy Boy and that people should support him?

I wanted this to happen so that Luffy would have the support of all his allies against BB at Laughtale, cause we can’t waste 400 chapters fighting him like an underdog when the straw hats can literally get the support of every minor character and make the fight much more easier.

Like if Dragon knew his kid is the key to toppling the government and that he needs the one piece to fulfill his fate, he’ll help Luffy find the man marked by flames faster than he normally would

Or why doesn’t Shanks just straight up team up with Luffy against BB

I don’t want us to waste more time I want Imu to be revealed and have a Madara/Aizen like design and demeanor

As for Shanks, man's got his own life and his own belief. His comfortable meeting with the gorosei, so not some ultimate good guy. He's also let Teach do his thing, so he's not exactly big pressed about him.

As to why Oda wrote the story the way he did, anybody who doesn't know him personally can only give you 1 answer: Because that's the story he wanted to tell.
