Why the rule of two is beyond stupid

#1
Why would the sith ever want to limit their darkside user base to just two people, it's like asking to lose when the jedi can have millions of light side users at any one time
there's suppose to a balance to the force but it's portrayed like the light side should remain and dark side should get destroyed so like it's not a balance between anything then, Like trying to have a balance between light and dark would be what you think balance would mean in their context but no just means having side dominate the other so not balance in any sense of the word actually

The problem with the sith always was their lust for power. The Sith always betrayed themself in the worst possible moments

-Darth Malak betrayed Revan in the moment he was about to beat Bastila
-Valkorion betrayed all Sith to gain immortality, but nearly eradicated the Sith by doing so
-Malgus betrayed the Sith Empire to create his own Empire but weakend the Sith Empire

There are to many examples of the Sith betraying themself and nearly killing their bratheren. Palpatines reign was the most stable time for the Sith and almost whiped out the Jedi.
