Yes. For some reason, people really underestimate jimbei, who leads 2.0 in his favor in clashes with BM. If Kid and Ddimbey had fought in a fight, I would have put my rent on Jim's. After all, everyone knows" that the Kid does not win fights.... Draw with Apu, lose yc1 to Beckman, lose to Shanks, weaker than Bombs and Magma....
Kidd could even be strong potentially but his problem is his mindset. Look at how he approached Shanks: instead of being extremely focus on the emperor and his core crew of extremely strong individuals (and he knew that since he lost an arm to Ben) he decided it was better to first charge an attack to erase Shanks fleet of fodder, just to spite on Shanks and his crew (since that would have done 0 physical damage to Shanks and his commanders who are the entirety of his emperor power), and that imo is both due to his personality and the fact he probably get cocky after beating BM with Law, then Shanks FS and speedblitzed him and Kidd was totally oblivious that Shanks could do that. Then he was, maybe, erased since he is not Luffy who gets infinite tries (see all the Luffy vs Kaido we had in Wano, he even litterally died).
Oda destroyed the character..... I literally defended him until the moment when he couldn't break through the BM skin with his ulta and could only push it into random bombs, after that my top 2 supernova became garbage for me, which Shanks later confirmed by shooting him.... And I have to admit that Sanji will destroy the Kid at the moment.

Whitebeard - made Jinbei allied captain on par with top commanders
Big Mom - made Jinbei allied captain on par with top commanders
Luffy - made Jinbei subordinate
Of course Kidd respects that, no other Shichibukai has accepted becoming a direct sub. Moriah didn't accept BBs invitation. Closest is Doffy with Kaido (Cross Guild is something else).
Edit: WB did make Ace a subordinate, a man that declined Shichibukai position.

Imo he is still on par with Law powerwise, then Law has a good mindset while Kidd is always in a Leroy Jenkins state, and that makes a difference in the end, anyway 4th supernova all considered, behind Luffy, Zoro and Law. Also even if Law was fighting Shanks instead of Kidd I think that Law would have done only a bit better, he would have resisted some attacks, maybe, by teleporting a bit around but in the end Shanks one shot or 2 shot him too. Afterall Shanks at this point should be still stronger, and quite a bit, than BB, imo that was something Oda wanted to show with that double clash of Shanks vs Kidd and BB vs Law. Also, even if it is not canon, Shanks in film Red had his sword at Kizaru throat in a couple of moves, and Kizaru was effectively speedblitzed at the end of the fight, so if Shanks can really speedblitz Kizaru then people like Kidd or Law are doomed from the start so Kidd character for sure was destroyed but that clash was mainly, imo, to show Shanks power.
