Will Big Mom vs Law and Kid have sloppy animation too?

Nah, its not a budget issue but a content issue.

Law and Kidd vs Big Mum is just longer than Sanji's and Zoro's respective fights, so its not really possible to do another big "one and done episode".

Its also quite close to tons of other big action scenes.

I think if Big Mum's fight gets some nice moments the conclusion to the first round of Luffy vs Kaido will probably be the thing that gets sacrificed, especially considering round 2.

It may have good scenes, but at most it would be as a good as something like 1060, which was a really nice episode, but wasn't what anyone would really call "top of the line" production wise.

Its definitely not getting focused on due to what happens in 1044 IMO. 1043 will probably be a considerably weaker episode.

the previews aren't making me hopeful. I'm guessing that it will at least be as good as the chapter where they debuted their awakening.

Bruh what the fuck is Toei doing. The animation this episode was hot garbage.

Someone clip that scene of Kid summoning the metal beams, that scene especially was awful.

Confirmed recap episode before the final fight so they're getting better treatment than the cook, let's see if it's on par or better than Zoro's episode. :quest:
