As we all know Figarland Garling is head or leader of Holyknights and has the authority to kill other Celestial dragon. There could be a high possiblity , Garling put Shanks up for the Job. To track down and intercept threat like Blackbeard.

Gorosei , Whether they are using devil fruit or not , they are different than rest of zoan or mythical users , gorosei summons a magic circle itself.
Though I don't expect Holyknights to have transformation as strong as Gorosei. But I'll believe they will similar. Just weaker and not that huge.
They will be again part of Legends and myth , monsters and yokai.

The connection to 16 isn't something new.
So my headcanon says , Imu has 16 bullets for himself as well.
5 Gorosei + 9 Holyknights = 14 Bullets....
Two are unknown but Guess which two characters have mythical and old legends pike persona?

It's still mysterious on how shanks travelled so fast to marineford. But given recent Summoning circle from gorosei , there's a high possibility. Shanks used something like that.
Mihawk has a whole Vampire/Dracula theme going on for him. His eyes are very similar to Imu and carrier bats (we have seen them only twice one in jimbei flashback when he was welcomed to WG and Buggy invitation to WG).
We know morgan somehow controls all the newspaper birds...
And Stussy , which looks a lot like Vampire , Might be genentically engineered woth Genes of mihawk Family because real stussy shows nothing like vampire.
Non canon Devil fruit , Bat Bat no mi model Vampire was eaten by Patrick Redfield in one piece game and abilities are very similar to stussy ability to bite and suck their Life force out of then instead of blood which would help them retain their youth.
Mihawk sword is called "Yoru" means Night.

Given the Bat carriers , I believe , it was Mihawk family who gave him that warlord Title. Somebody decides on this and it ain't marines , we barely see Gorosei worried about it .. some faction needs to take care of Warlords on who becomes one and who has to be removed.

Which makes me want to come to Figarland Garling , who is literally related too moon. From his Hair style to Name....
And Shanks is speculated to be his kid. Shanks has his own Werewolf kind of story going on with him.... like Shanks who is based on god Tyr , who " Arm " bitten off by a Huge werewolf , Fenris , and Garling night have that ability as well.

This might be dumb but.... shanks intercepted kaidou when they were on the way to marineford. And it was just two of them , they would be definately be flying given their abilities.... how did shanks on a ship with one hand stop two mf monster flying? Unless he has his own way to fly , "Gryphon" have wings as well.
