Haki doesn't cancel a DF power. Remember that Akainu was able to maintain magma consistency when Marco hit him? When pops used CoC to hit him, he still got his face melted for the trouble.

Kaido is a shitty target because he's physically strong club wielder and you can't negate his Haki. So if you grab him with one hand you'll need the other to stop him from popping your balls at double the pain. Kizaru is a good target because he's so damned fast that it helps to suck him in, same for Marco but to a lesser degree I guess.

Haki was very inconsistent pre-timeskip and still is nowadays. That could be FS like Katakuri or whatever(Marco/Vista vs Akainu).
WB didn't used ACoC against Akainu he used his own DF.

I know haki doesn't cancel DF but the whole point of Yami Yami no Mi is to bypass DF's properties. With Haki you can touch Logias which is the biggest strength of them against non-haki users and ignores fruits like Luffy invicibility against normal attacks(punches, kicks, smash etc) and with advanced haki ignora Kaido's DF invincibility too.

I didn't got your point about Kaido, Kizaru and Marco.

We haven't even tapped into the possibilities of the Yami Yami no mi. It's an absolutely busted DF and imo stronger than the Gura Gura no mi.

We'll see some nasty shit from the "most powerful" Logia.

Gravity sucks them in. So Katakuri appeared "invincible" between his ability to change shape to dodge according to his Haki, and his general elusive ability. Yami powers make it so that he can't run or use his shape/texture changing even if his Haki is active.

Honestly, if you assert that Haki has changed post timeskip then maybe you should also assume the Yami powers have changed accordingly.

And also, WB was fucking pissed about what happened to Ace, quite obviously. If we know he had adv Haohshoku and that we couldn't see it on panel back then, it makes no sense to assume he didn't use it.

By the panels is very clear that WB is using only his DF on Marineford.
